Armed trespasser arrested at Collierville High School

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An armed individual was arrested at Collierville High School Tuesday morning, according to an email sent to parents.
The email stated that around 9:30 a.m., an administrator and the Collierville Police Department (CPD) spotted an adult trespasser sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot. After an investigation, authorities found a loaded handgun and a controlled substance in the suspect’s possession.

The school said that the person was immediately taken into custody.
No new information has been released during this time. WREG reached out to CPD regarding the arrest, and we are waiting to hear back.
